Phyllis Bennis, Elliott Abrams – Conflict in Gaza

Phyllis Bennis

The conflict in Gaza between Israel and Hamas has left hundreds dead and thousands wounded. Palestinian civilians account for most of the casualties, and Israel is under increasing pressure to ratchet down its military campaign. Phyllis Bennis, director of the New Internationalism Project at the Institute for Policy Studies, and Elliott Abrams, a former national security official in the George W. Bush Administration and now Senior Fellow in Middle Eastern Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, offer their differing views on the conflict.
