John Németh – “Memphis Grease”
Nothing in singer John Németh’s background screams soul or blues. He was born in Boise, ID, to Hungarian immigrant parents. He didn’t cut his teeth in sultry roadhouses or down-home honky-tonks—rather, he began his singing career performing at Catholic Daughters of America luncheons. He didn’t develop his harp chops on stage, but in the cab of the truck he drove for a living, playing his harmonica while Junior Wells blared from the speakers. He joins us to share his new CD, “Memphis Grease“. |
