Ann Louise Bardach – Outlook for Afro-Cubans

The U.S. is moving to normalize relations with Cuba. President Obama broke the diplomatic barrier by meeting with Raul Castro in Panama earlier this month, and the White House is seeking to end Cuba’s designation as a state sponsor of terrorism. But journalist Ann Louise Bardach, described by the Columbia Journalism Review as the “go-to journalist on all things Cuban and Miami,” says Afro-Cubans are unlikely to benefit much from normalized relations.
